Call for applications for the workshops is open!

MASTERS is a series of workshops, masterclasses and discussion panels targeted at students and young creators. It is an opportunity to meet experienced professionals from the stop motion film industry, which will allow you to acquire new professional competences and confront your skills in practice, under the guidance of experts.

Who will you meet at the Masters workshops this year? The organizers managed to invite artists who contributed to the success of the award-winning films by Wes Anderson and Tim Burton, with an extensive experience in implementing commercial projects. The group of experts includes: puppet maker Andy Gent, known as Wes Anderson's right hand; Kim Keukeleire, animation director in "My name is Zucchini", who also has the popular "Runaway Chickens" in her portfolio; stop-motion animator Tobias Fouracre (animation supervisor in "Isle of Dogs", key animator in "Fantastic Pan Lis") and Malcolm Hadley, British cinematographer with over 20 years of experience in making time-lapse films (including "Corpse Bride "," Frankenweenie ").

The call for applications to ANIMARKT Pitching 2020 is open!

The ANIMARKT Pitching section is dedicated to short stop-motion animations from around the world at the development stage. The awards include vouchers for production services in Poland or animation equipment, festival distribution or sale of television rights to the finished film.

Since one of the goals of ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum is to support artists from Central and Eastern Europe, entries from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania, and Latvia are treated as priorities.

Finalists qualified for pitching before the presentation can take advantage of consultations regarding script work, production as well as budgeting, project presentation, public speaking, and building the puppet.

Call for applications was until August 3, 2020. The list of finalists will be announced on August 17, 2020.

Animarkt Pitching 2020 awards:

• vouchers worth PLN 60 000 (approx. 13 500 EUR) and PLN 40 000 (approx. 9 000 EUR) for using the studio and film production facilities – distinctions funded by the Audiovisual Technology Center (CeTA) in Wrocław
• Dragonframe 4 software (with Bluetooth controller)
• expert consultation with Marcin Zalewski – regarding the construction of a puppet
• industry accreditation for Mifa 2021 in Annecy
• 2-week residency at the Quirino Cristiani Animation Center in Cordoba (Argentina) – funded by APALAB including accommodation and mentoring/devlopment consultancy in scriptwriting, production and art for development stage, and meetings with Argentine producers
  
  

The only event of its kind in the world focuses on the most important problems and challenges associated with the production of stop motion animation.

The main goal of ANIMARKT Stop Motion Forum is to create a platform to share experiences and practices between stop motion filmmakers, distributors, broadcasters, producers, animation service providers, and industry representatives from around the world.

Pitchings, consultations with experts, and networking are aimed at consolidating the industry as well as facilitating the establishment of international co-productions and cooperation.

The program of each edition of the event is consulted with the Program Board, which consists of: animator Tim Allen (among others "Isle of Dogs", "Fantastic Mr. Fox", "Corpse Bride"), journalist Nancy Denney-Phelps, producer and distributor Luce Grosjean (Miyu Distribution) and production manager and producer Zofia Jaroszuk (Animoon).
